Finding it hard shifting the fat on highs and booty!!
Hi All, I am finding it incredibly difficult to shift the fat from my thighs and bottom- I have always been bottom heavy and I don't mind the curves at all but I want them to be smooth not dimply! I am trying to ween myself into exercise slowly and I am thinking of investing in an exercise bike- as well squats, lunges etc.…

How active am I?
I can't determine if I'm sedentary or lightly active. I don't know, but does sedentary mean in the daily calorie calculation that your calories burned for a day is equal to your BMR -- calories you burn even without doing anything? I am partial to the lightly active, but I think I am not that 'llightly active.' I am a…

Working out will NOT make you she-hulk!
Okay ladies I'm really REALLY tired of seeing posts about "I don't want to be huge and bulky or gain a lot of muscle from working out!" sigh.... 1. You can lift weights and not become a huge muscle.. Unless you are TRYING to bulk, it is not going to happen naturally. 2. If you're eating at a deficit, you're not going to…

reduced activity
I've recently been laid off (seasonally). My question is since my daily normal activity has gone from lightly active to sedentary should I change my exercise calorie output down. i.e: today I shoveled snow for almost 5 hours and it said I burned almost 3000 calories while if working I would have burned about 2000 should I…

Should I increase my activity level?
Forgive me for asking this question (I'm pretty sure it's been asked before), but I'm a bit confused and still trying to adjust my settings properly. My activity level on MFP is currently set at "sedentary" (mainly because I'm reading the description where it says "desk job", which is what I have). However, I have a FitBit…

Help I can't decide! Fitbit flex or Fitbit force?
I know this has already been posted but I still can't decide. I really love the display screen and that would be the only reason I would buy the force. I have done a ton of research and here are some of the things I like and dislike about each. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cost doesn't matter because if I go for…

How do you CURB you're hunger PANGS?
I'm currently on a 20:4 Intermittent Fasting schedule so I'm okay most of the day until the very last hour before feeding. I starting drinking water to feel more full throughout the day shortly after I started IF. I recently added chewing gum throughout the day that this significantly lowered (or extended) hunger pangs.…

Hello all, new here.
Hello everyone, I recently started using Myfitnesspal to track my food so I can sync it with Pact, and so far I'm really liking how easy it is to track food. I have one question though, is there a way to save foods that you eat often so you can enter them quickly? Thanks! Erica

I'm just rejoining My Fitness Pal since I've left college, started teaching, and become even more unhealthy than I used to be because of lack of time/too much work/ etc. Any other teachers out there? Specifically I teach biology.

Welp, I finally did it.
After gaining about a pound or more every week for the last year (literally, I put on all my weight again after two years of maintenance, like 100-ish pounds in one pathetic, terrible year) I lost weight. I lost 5 pounds in just a little under two weeks. So I guess I'm officially doing this then C: Yay.

I am amazed how this all works!!
A month and a half to two months of working out to Jillian Michaels and nothing. I have been counting calories for 3 days and I have lost 1 pound! I know it's small, but it's a huge deal to me. Is There Anything Better
Than waking up at a new low in your weight. I love that feeling of getting on the scale in the morning and see a new low weight that I haven't seen before. It just sets the tone for the whole day, makes me ready to hop onto my workout, makes me want to eat cleaner, and see if I can push further.
