problem with Garmin HR monitor

Polar users help please?
Hey guys, I just bought a rs300x a few days ago. In the manual it says to detach the connector (transmitter) from the strap when not in use to maximise battery life. Who actually does this? I've only had it two days and I'm finding it a pain to detach it after use, not to mention storing it away so it won't get lost/banged…

So I've decided to compete in a sprint triahtlon in 4 weeks - (I've still lost no weight despite eating really carefully and exercising a lot so quite demotivated with that) But anyway - the triathlon is motivating me to exercise / train at the moment - so we'll see how it goes. Exercising while fasting
On Sunday I'm going to be fasting from 7AM to 5:30PM in order to support my cousin. I'm still going to get all of my calories in, just divided differently. I want to go to the gym during this time. I usually go for about 45-60 minutes and do cardio, burning about 500ish cal. Would this be okay or should I go but in more…

C25K question
So I am hoping to do this in the Spring. But I have a couple questions, if you are running outside, how do you know how long you have ran/walked and when to change to the other, ect. If I had to look at a watch I would be so focused on getting the timing right I don't think I would do well at it. Also I would have to buy a…

Keeping Track of your Workouts
I spent a good hour in the weight room this morning. When I lift I keep a notebook with date/time, sets-reps-amount, and I make notes about how the set went, and weather I think I'm ready to make an increase. There were a lot of people lifting this morning...I only saw one person keeping track in a notebooks, and another…

should my job factor in to my calorie allowance?
I have a hard time knowing how many calories I should be eating. MFP says 1375. Well, most days that's ok. Half the week I go to culinary school, and am on my feet a lot during these days. The other half of the week I work as a fry cook (like 30 hours a week) MFP says that cooking burns 142 calories an hour.. well for 30…

After weight loss...
I still have a ways to go before I reach my goal, but I was just thinking about how when people lose a lot of weight (I've seen on TV shows), they'll have a lot of loose skin. Question about muscle
I have read here that is takes months to build muscle. I've read you cannot build muscle while in a calorie defict. My question is, after 2 months of walking/jogging every other day then Slim in Six the other days, the tops of my legs and my arms are harder and feel tighter. So is this what you call toning or strenghening?…
