QUESTION ABOUT CARBS
I've been on MFP for a while and have had success, thanks to all the support from everyone here. I have a question about carbs. Lately I've been craving carbs - bread, bagels, cookies, etc. and seem to be hungry a lot more. I don't deprive myself of carbs and do eat whole wheat bread, oatmeal, and good carbs, so I don't…

Eight Cups of Water?
I've been trying really hard to drink the recommended 8 cups of water each day. It's hard for me! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE water. It is my preferred beverage. But it makes me have to go to the bathroom every one or two hours. It's very uncomfortable. I've tried pacing it out, but even that wasn't helping. Yesterday I…

projected 5 week weight - up and down?
So I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Two days ago it said in 5 weeks, you'll way 'this" then today, it was 2 lbs higher. I'm under carbs, fat & calories but over protein. Is this weight jack up due to the calculation of having more lean mass due to the amount of protein I'm getting? Anyone know?

Store-made rotisserie chickens
Does anyone have any idea how those chickens are prepared? Other than the obvious: on a spit! LOL. I tend to buy one about once a week because I work later hours and find it's so easy to just cut some up and throw it in a bowl of mesclun greens for dinner. But they taste so good, even when I take the skin off I still get…

So I went out to eat tonight at Applebees. I was all excited because they have that new under 550 menu, so I ordered the asiago steak, told them to hold the cheese....I got home and now I learn that Applebees doesn't disclose the nutrition facts for their menu items. I am so angry. I found somewhere that its supposed to be…

Oil sprayer
Hello! So I just wanted to share a tool that I use in my kitchen all the time. A lot of recipes call for just a tad bit of oil that is supposed to be coated onto food or they use Pam type sprays. I've been using this oil sprayer for years and love it! When I roast vegetables, bake breaded/coated chicken, etc. I use this…

So, how do you guys celebrate your birthdays?
Ok, I know it's probably the one day of the week that I shouldn't worry so much about what I eat, but still. And since all of our family functions are set on eating, I'm…

Relationship of carbs to weight loss
My guided nutrition goals show a high amount of carbs compared all other nutrients. This doesnt make sense to me because although I would not go to the extent of cutting out carbs completely (i.e. atkins), I have been speaking to alot of fit friends and personal trainers who all tell me that the best way to lose the tire…
