Tofu-ideas?
I'm nearly always way under on my protein and at or over on my fat/carbs (can't stand fish). So while looking for what I could eat to jack up my protein, I took a look at Tofu. I've never been fond of it although I've only tried it once, but it certainly appears to be an excellent source of protein while reasonably low in…

The big, fat, nasty, "healthy" burger...
So today I was soo good on my diet. I ate a homemade egg and cheese breakfast burrito with low carb tortilla for breakfast (protein you know) before going on a hike on Mt. Rainier. Then after my one hour hike I had a pb&j and a banana. Later for a snack I had an apple. Then on the way home around 8pm we decided to stop at…

Soda
I used to drink regular soda like crazy, I'm talking a 6 pack a day of Pepsi! Over time, a few years ago, I was able to switch to diet soda (not great, I know, but the lesser of two evils!). Tonight at the restaurant where I work, there was a guy who was drinking Dr. Pepper like a fiend, literally one sip would wipe out a…

Interesting article. (Eat This, Not That)
http://eatthis.womenshealthmag.com/articlesDetail.php?1.-Worst-Packaged-Food-in-America-849=&page=1 Check it out. First, imagine that food. Then imagine the food that you think tastes like the worst thing in the world! Then imagine what these 2 would look like together. Pretend to eat this dish and focus on what it would taste like to…

Bacon
I must admit, I don't much care for turkey bacon, but love real bacon. Ever since I've been trying to live healthier, I've been on a mission to find a bacon substitute that is both low in calories and doesn't compromise taste. I've tried everything, different brands, leaner cuts of ham, different cuts of meat, literally…

I know it's only a little over 200 calories, but it seems like a world of difference. I'm wondering if any of you have around…

Is there such a thing as too much fibre?
I just recently added the fibre colum to my food diary. I have been under the inpression that fibre keeps you feeling full longer and is overall a good thing for my body. I seem to be going over on my fibre intake though. I'm not concerned about it as long as too much fibre isn't a bad thing. Anyone know the answer?

Help identifying this Indian dessert!
Ok, a few weeks ago I went to an Indian restaurant and had this AMAZING dessert. I thought it was kulfi, though apparently all kulfi is like an ice cream. It had a similar flavor, and it had a consistancy like phyllo dough in little square cakes. When you started eating it, it dissolved in your mouth, almost like cotton…
