New Confessions
Hey all, I used to post semi-regularly on a board called "confessions" about the things I wanted or had indulged in. Right now I really really want an E.L. Fudge cookie- and I was hoping that putting it out there in cyberspace would help to keep me from driving to the store, buying a whole package and eating too many. Or…

College Students / Beer
For all the college students out there. In the time off from classes (between terms) I really don't drink much beer. I enjoy the time off and just relax, sans alcohol. Once classes get started: mid-terms, projects, papers etc. it is so nice to settle in for a long night of studying/ homework with some beer. I work full…

Any suggestions for afternoon sugar craving?
Hi Everyone! So I am at day 3 and am identifying some of my pitfalls. My lunch is around 415 calories and I eat a late dinner. Around 3:00, I am CRAVING sugar and not the healthy snack (banana, fiberone bar, etc) I brought with me. What snacks to you eat to kick the sugar craving? Thanks, kathy

With all the cold on the east coast and bad weather I have been having to rely on running on the treadmill. My treadmill is in my spare bedroom and there are lots of things I can distract myself with but I find myself counting down the seconds of tedium. Ate well/exercised and the scale didn't budge!!!!!!!!!
I weighed in this AM to see the scale actually went up a few ounces! It was discouraged and almost ready to stuff a burger with extra cheese and a side of fries down my throat, but when I thought about it I think it was because I worked out a lot and actually went under the 1200 calories and maybe my body thought it was…

My doctor has made me feel so discouraged
I have been working on improving my health since the first of the year. First, I made changes to my eating habits. Then, after a couple of months, I started exercising regularly. I also kept honest journals (I found FitnessPal very recently). I am actually at the point of meeting my daily recommended calorie needs and I…

June Starters - January 3rd
Hey all! I started the thread this week. The good news is I didn't do as much damage as I thought over the holidays. When I weighed in on Christmas Eve because of a doctors visit I was up six pounds. I nearly had a heart attack thinking that I still had New Years to go. I only gained 2.5 pounds over the 3 weeks I took off…

Moms Of Preschoolers
Is anyone else a member of MOPS? I love MOPS so much that this year I am on the steering team. Its a great place to meet other moms, get a short break from the kids (they are left down in the nursery of the church with the nursery workers), learn a new craft, and listen to a speaker. My question is during potluck buffetts…

Little confused about extra calories earned..
When it tells you that you have earned X amount of extra calories after exercising, are you supposed to consume those calories, or is it just letting you know that you have them if you happen to go over your goal? I'm new to all this and it's kind of confusing, lol. I don't want to eat those extra calories because the…

getting my weight loss goal to show up on screen
Hi, I'm having problems getting my goal thing to show up when I send replies. I can look it up on my file and try to attach it, but I'm not getting it. Maybe because I live in Canada and have different set ups. I will try if anyone has a simple explanation. Thanks.

Woke up exhausted...
Today is only day three of the exercise and diet. I feel amazing for the most part except I could barely roll out of bed this morning... I woke up with a horrible headache and just so so so tired. Granted I did work last night. I work at a large restaurant and ran around yesterday carrying trays after trays for almost 5…
