Now that I'm watching my calories I realize that I never want breakfast so I force myself to eat something. I have coffee every morning…

Calorie Zig Zagging
Hi Been reading about this having found a brilliant website which, when you input your stats, activity level etc, it calculates the amount of calories to consume each day based on a zig zag effect. This apparently keeps your body guessing as it doesn't get used to you eating the same amount if calories each day and…

Help, I'm confused! New to MFP
Hi, I'm new to MFP... I have been put on a 1440 calorie "lifestyle" with MFP. I have a few questions: Are net calories "extra calories" that I can eat during the day? What happens when the number turns RED? If I go over sodium or sugar, can I still lose weight if I am still under 1440 calories a day? Whats the difference…

Having trouble getting started.
Most of my life, I've been a healthy weight (110-121lbs) with a petite frame (5'1"), but when I started college and dating I gained weight at a embarrassingly fast rate. I've used MyFitnessPal in the past, but never stuck with it for long enough to see any actual changes in my body. Now, I'm at the largest weight I've ever…

Scales and numbers.....
My question is, I have a manual (dial type) scale at home where I weigh myself in the morning. It's a heavy-duty scale and I tested it with dumbells to calibrate it so I know that it's accurate. However, I cannot determine my weight with a huge degree of accuracy. That scale may vary by a pound or two, depending on how you…

how to make sense of RMR, TDEE, BMR, BMI
There are so many numbers out there, its hard to make sense of them all and which ones are more important and how they relate to each other. Is walking 4.5k daily 'moderately active'?
Thanks for reading. I posted last night, but I accidently wrote 4.5k a week, which isn't correct! Now the thread is dead as people did, very kindly answer but it hasn't been looked at since! I regularly walk 4.5k 5 days a week. I feel like this is just part of my daily life, not exercise as I'm not losing weight! Just…
