Crappy Weather
How many of you all don't feel like doing anything because of bad weather? I don't work out during a thunderstorm, gloomy / dark / cloudy days or when it's just too HOT (the closest place to swim is a state park 20 minutes away, uphill) I'm okay with the cold (because I'm ALWAYS cold, thank you menopause) and I can squeeze…

Hi guys, So I'm hoping someone can help with some motivation. I have absolutely none. I've gotten into HORRIBLE eating habits after moving away from home a few years ago. Hey there! Here is my story, and I'm looking for people in a similar boat who might want the added support! I started on MFP back in February of 2012 at 240lbs (I'm 5'8") after struggling with my weight for 24 years. Low - needing a lift.
There is nothing quite like seeing those scales go dowwwwwn. There is nothing like hearing someone tell you, that you look great. There is nothing like feeling in control. And in contrast, it doesn't feel much worse than losing control. Bingeing. Failing. And just feeling low. Why do we do it? It can't only be down to…

Fitness is a Skill
Excellent article by one of the founders of Fitocracy, Mr.Talens. He is also the "former fat kid" and now in amazing shape. This is something we all forget in our quest to lose weight. http://www.fitocracy.com/knowledge/fitness-is-a-skill/?utm_source=swu&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=content-skills

Antidote to the "Mean People" threads
I have seen many threads complaining about people being mean. I have not seen one where people bring up nice things people have said to you, so I want to start one. What is the nicest thing another MFP member has said to you? It could be in a thread, blog comment, PM, your home page from a friend, whatever. Mine was when…

Getting back on track
On Saturday I finally made out of my work out clothes and into an actual outfit and it was not what I expected. I worked hard all last week and my clothes still didn't fit or feel right. It caused me to lose all my motivation for the weekend. I still managed to stay within a good calorie range because of exercise but…

Hard night
I have not made it under 160 in the last 4 years. I just can't seem to make that leap to the 150's. I'm wondering if it might be a result of me always getting down on myself and feeling like I can't do it, as I always seem to want to binge just as I'm almost there. How have you all overcome your plateaus?
