So, the last time I worked out even a little consistently I was in graduate school and didn't have a job. It was nice, my schedule was pretty open to working out whenever I felt comfortable. But now, I have an 8-4 job, some nights we stay late for school events, and every Thursday an appointment until 530 and I get home…

An HRM Primer
It seems like there has been a surge of questions about HRMs lately. I thought I would put together a more in-depth article for anyone who is interested. In order to make it more visibly available, I wrote it on my blog page rather than as a forum post. Feel free to come back here with additional comments or questions.…

A friend of mine is losing muscle mass in one leg. He has pain from the hip joint to the knee. He is a plasterer. Self employed. So he is hesitant to see the dr. When I heard this I was concerned. He does not obviously favor one leg when he walks. Has anyone heard of this and it is a concern, right?

Body Bug people - calories burned?
This is going to sound weird, but it's all starting to make sense. I plugged in what I used to eat on MFP and it said that I was eating anywhere from 6,000-8,000 calories a day (before I started dieting). If that was true than I should weigh over 500 pounds, because I loved eating and never worked out. Well, I borrowed my…

Free Internet Exercise Routines
I keep putting off exercise with different excuses. But one issue is time. I have videos but they are all 45-60 min. and I need something about half that time for strength training.
