How to measure calories burned?
Hey folks! I'm looking for a way to measure the calories I burn while I work out. Is there something like a pedometer, that I can wear and will measure calories burned? I'm looking for something that will be more accurate than using the generic excercises that are listed on the site (although those are great as well) Kelly

What to do while foot is being immobilized?
My foot is not broken, thank goodness - and no stress fracture was detected. For background, I train in ballet about 17 hours a week, do about 5-6 hours of cross training at the gym a week - 30 mins cardio, abs, stretching, and try to do upper body weights at 2x per week. I dance on pointe about 4 hours a week. So, well,…

Ready to Slim down with SI6
Hello all! I will be starting SI6 again in Thursday after my 2 day fast. I just finished Chalean Extreme about a week and half ago and wanted to do the fast to refresh myself and increase the motivation. I also needed the break anyway after those 90 days of CE. So, my goal is to get 4-6 weeks of BIU done. Hopefully…

new runner's questions
I started running--more like wogging and jogging, really-- this spring. It is very hard for me, and I do not like it, but love how I feel when I am done running (I enjoy the challenge, too I guess), so I decided to start training for a 5k, just to see if I could do it. Yesterday I completed my first 5K race. I was…

SBF2: Reboot Boogaloo! July 19th
Yesterday, I did the 3 hours yoga and 1 hour of cardio - and I'm not nearly as worn out as I was last weekend - but I didn't make my yoga classes as difficult. Today - bike ride to the store and maybe a trip to the gym. Saw Harry Potter last night. It was nice to see a mindless movie. I'm starting to plan my training for…

What's your opinion on this?
Okay, so, this morning I did 5 miles on my bike. I came home ate breakfast. Decided to enjoy my last day of vacation just watching movies. How should I eat today? I'm not really hungry but I have all these calories. If I'm not really expending cals from activity, how do you think the body reacts to this? Good or bad?

straight up
i've heard that standing/sitting up straight helps strengthen the core muscles and sometimes even shows some changes. i've certainly tried doing it but i either forget or become exhausted too fast. has anyone changed their posture by just willing themselves to stand/sit up straight? is it true that you feel a change? (i'm…

Elliptical Questions
Just wondering if you can give me some feedback about using an elliptical. Love it? Hate it? What kind of results did you see or feel, and in what time frame? Fellow DDR-ers?
Just wondering if there are any fellow DDR players out there who play for their exercise. Its the best and most fun workout I've found and I can burn about 450 - 500 cals/hour - better than me on the treadmill! I'm kind of looking for a workout buddy to be accountable with, who I can check in with to make sure I'm staying…

Question about Runner's Knee
So, I am at week 5 of the C25K program and am experiencing much knee pain. It started last week in week 4. It doesn't bother me too much once I get going but afterwards it hurts badly  especially after I have been sitting for a while. It hurts behind the knee and in the front below the kneecap, I haven't noticed any…
