best "no equipment" workout
What are some of everyone's favorite workouts that don't involve equipment? I go to the gym in the morning, but would like something to do at home after work? I am ready for an advanced workout that lasts 25 to 30 minutes to just get some extra calories burned! I've been working out 2x a day for a few months, and I think…

10 minute trainer =)
Anybody out there doing the Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer DVD's? I think they are pretty good supplemental workouts. Pair 2 or 3 of the videos and you've got a pretty good little workout that you can do at home and feel like you've actually done something. Anyone have any fedback or opinions about the 10 Minute Trainer??…

Ugh what a terrible weekend
The only motivation I had was to eat everything in sight. Unfortunately the monthly b*tch is here and making me miserable. All I want to do is be alone, lay around and eat! Go away already so I can get back to normal! :explode:

Stupid question..
okay, this may be a dumb question, but...when is the best time to work out? Sometimes I work out in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and sometimes at night. When I work out in the am before i've eaten anything i feel like it's a waste because it's not burning and of the calories I've consumed during the day. LoL!…

SBF2 Reboot Boogaloo! July 21
Good morning! No exercise today but I will get some while cleaning up the house. We went to a friend's house last night (they are letting us borrow their truck again this week) and she says, "Sorry the house is a mess." Um, ok. I didn't see a mess anywhere. I wish my house was more like that...when I haven't cleaned. No,…

Great for understanding body fat
Here is just a clip from the site. It's just one page long, worth checking out! http://www.healthchecksystems.com/bodyfat.htm Let's say you're a 130# woman with 23% body fat, and you goal is to "lose 20 pounds": Initial body fat: 130# x 0.23 fat = 30 # body fat Lean body mass: 130# total - 30# fat = 100# lean body mass…

spinning
I've just started taking spin classes again after many months of not doing it (and for the first time since starting MFP and my weight loss journey). Leg fell asleep while jogging????
Ok, so I have been jogging / walking for quite a while now, and tonight I had something strange happen. When I finished one of my jogging stints, it felt like my leg was asleep. It didn't have those little pains that you get when it starts to "wake up", but it went numb like. The only way that I can explain it is that it…

Is there such a thing as TOO MUCH cardio???
Here's my deal, on any given day it's not unheard of for me to run 30 minutes in the morning (burning about 300 calories), then taking 2 walk breaks at 4 mph for a total of 20 minutes, then walking uneven terrain on my lunch for about 30-40 minutes. This wouldn't include my post-strength gym session after work where I jump…

Roller Derby!
So, in the interest of preventing boredom, releasing some stress, and meeting some bada$$ chicks who I can see myself getting along with fabulously, I have decided to try out roller derby. For those of you that are unfamiliar, roller derby is played on roller skates in a skating rink and is a full-contact sport.…
