I keep bumping the posts up for you to read....though I have seen three posts already today asking the questions that are answered in the posts I keep bumping up and…

I feel better, my muscles are less sore in my back and neck from all of the stress. I just feel good. I know I'm going to be sore tomarrow but, I can't beat the…

Bingo Lady Arms
I have an issue with the under arm flab. The only arm exercises I know deal with the biceps and shoulders and this is fine and dandy, but my flab makes me really self concious about my arms. Are there any exercises I can do to at least tone them up the tiniest bit??

Heart Rate Question
Ok, went to spin class today. HR reached 187 (I wear a polar F11). This is beyond my max at 184 (I'm 36). How dangerous is this? Also I spent the over 50% of the class in the 170s - but with a long warm up (I was there early) and cool down, my average was 153 - now here's the kicker - I burned 500 calories. How the hell do…

To jog or not to jog....that is the question!
Ok, so I have been getting an "urge" to MAYBE start picking up jogging. I have always been afraid of this form of exercise for several reasons. One is the knowledge that bad knees run in my family and my knees have had a tendency to crack and hurt a little. BUT, my theory is that my higher weight (like say 270, which I…

I'm SOOOO confused
Ok, here's what I've read and understand: In order to lose 1 pound a week you need to either decrease 500 calories a day either thru diet or exercise(500x7=3500, 3500=a pound). Now here is where I get confused. According to mfp, w/out exercise included, my daily calorie intake should be 1250(I chose the lose 1 pound a week…

Early Morning Workout
Ok fitness gurus out there. Ive been trying to get up daily and get a hike in before work. I want to know just how much this is helping me, as opposed to doing it after work instead. I know that the food still in my belly is the first source of energy used, and thats why doing it before breakfast breaks into the stored fat…

Victorious Victoria Day Fitness Challenge April 11th
Here's to yelping butts! :drinker: I didn't do BL yesterday. I thought about it, and I wanted to do spin today. As it is only my second spin class, I thought it best to be in top condition. I did 50 min elliptical and Yoga Core Cross Train. Sounds like a hard yoga practice right? Nope. I bought it unreviewed and unwatched…

Need to change routine for the last bit?
I'm on my last few pounds and I'm told that this is going to take the longest and be the hardest to lose. With that being said, I'm assuming that I should change my workout routine? Should I now be including some weights too? I'm not really sure how to change my workout to maximize my calorie burn for each work out. Right…

Exercising in the evening: post on what day?
Like most people, I exercise in the evening often before the evening meal. So should the exercise + calories be posted for that day or rather the next day when you really burn up the calories?

I have been blessed to live in the most beautiful place on earth, the mountains of North Carolina, and in doing so I have been indulging in one of my favorite activities: Power Hiking  . The last few days we have had pretty weather (finally, it was a long snowy winter) so I have hit the trails hard. Three different…

Exercising With Arthritis
Arthritis is a disease that can cause pain, stiffness, and swelling in joints and other supporting structures of the body. Walking through Disney World all day
My husband and I took the kids to Disney World yesterday...we got there at noon and stayed until the park closed at 10 pm. I was moving almost the whole time (walking from place to place pushing a stroller). How many miles do you think I walked? I feel like I walked at least 7 or 8 miles, and probably more.

Well, I did it!
I've done Banks' boot camp routine three times now, and it is killer! The first time I did it, I couldn't get through all of the frog jumps or the crab crawls! Now, I am proud to say that I can get through it, although I still can't do the frog jumps or the crab crawls non-stop just yet. If I did the frog jumps non-stop, I…

Easy way to remember
I have changed my whole routine at the gym. Less of the machines and more of the free weights. I have been working out with my husband:grumble: , and when I am with him, it is easy, you just follow him. He does one exercise and I do another right next to him and switch with each completed set. No breaks in between.…
