Okay, so I am (or appear) to be down 6 pounds from when I first started. Then I weigh myself again and go back right where I started. Blisters
I have had this problem on and off for about 3 years. If I jog for longer than 30 minutes, I get blisters on the bottoms of my feet under the arch. I think it is an odd place to get a blister! I'm not sure why. My feet are very average, not flat and not a high arch. Maybe it has something to do with my stride? Does anyone…

Question...
As I read some posts, it seems a lot of you work out a lot! Like some 5 days a week, and other at least 3, but for 1-2 hours at a time?? Should I be doing this as well? I try to go for an hour walk 3 times a week... Is that not enough? I live in a small village in the middle of no where which has no gym, no aerobics or…

Nice little article you may like to read
I love webmd. Not only do they have lots of great articles, but they are reviewed by real medical doctors so you know there won't be any whacky fringe topics posted. And no, I don't work for them in any way. http://www.webmd.com/diet/tc/healthy-weight-what-affects-your-weight

effective short at home workout!!
Before you do the following, make sure your body is warmed up, you will need to get blood moving through the veins and arteries in your body. To warm up you can jog on the spot, do steps ups with one step, or skip on the spot. Each should be done for about 2-3 minutes, then you could stretch or just start into the…

EASTER Fitness Challenge Check-In February 24
Howdy! Had a great workout yesterday: 1 hour bike ride with husband, 30 minutes of weights, 10 minutes on elliptical, and 10 minute stretch. More beautiful weather here. Part of my great workout was that I saw the beginnings of a deltoid. I've always admired deltoids and wanted one (or preferably two) of my very own. There…

EASTER Fitness Challenge Check-In February 23
Ahh, the weekend. We eat more so we need to exercise more - at least that's true of me. I learned last night that all the good fitness book themes are taken. I was at our used book store and saw, "Punk Rock Aerobics". Not kidding. I flipped through it. It was really, really, bad. People dressed up in torn clothes doing…

Heart Rate Monitor Watches
Hi All! I am interested in purchasing a Heart Rate Montior watch, preferably under $75, but I'm not sure which one to get. I have pretty small wrists (6 in around) so I want one that won't be too bulky. As far as chest straps go, I guess I wouldn't mind one that is pretty comfortable, only because I have read that the…

Treadmills
So I was just thinking that I might get a treadmill for days that I'd rather stay inside (watching TV) rather than walk outside. I'm thinking very simple, manual - nothing fancy at all. Does anyone have one that they've had luck with and could recommend?
