Billy about killed me
Okay so I am a little frustrated. Not too much just a little. Three weeks ago I was wokring out 75 minutes a day. Then I got the flu and had no energy for two weeks. Then I went on vacation where I walked miles and miles everyday. I thought that would help me get my strength back. The only problem is that I didn't eat much…

Probably a dumb question
Well my thighs are really big and I was wondering. . . if I am biking, won't my leg muscles be getting so much exercise that the fat converts into muscle? Is that possible? I want to get down to a size four and I don't want my thighs to stay this size!!

Strength Training vs. Burning Calories
I am brand new to this - my husband's co-worker lost 15 pounds since January 8 just using this website so I am excited about the help it's hopefully going to offer me. Maybe I am entering things wrong, but last night I entered my strength training exercises and it doesn't seem to reflect any calories burned. Is this true?

I'm proud and had to share.....

Want my waist back!
Hi guys, I'm feeling really encouraged this morning after measuring myself - I've dropped 3 inches around the waist and one inch around the chest and hips! I'm so pleased about losing inches around the waist, as this is the part I'm trying to target! I know that you have to lose fat everywhere and it's difficult…

Easter Fitness Challenge 2/20
Morning everybody! Now that I've cut back on caffiene, I'm up earlier! Today is a lighter day. . . 20-30 minutes of commuter walking (depending on how in a hurry I am) with my backpack on. 30 minutes of yoga (although I might pop in a longer tape if I'm feeling perky.) Sore from my upper body class, especially in my abs. I…

Has anybody downloaded some new music that's good for working out? I know that I ask this question every little bit, but new music totally motivates me to get going. Cool Scale
I just saw a scale on Tv that measures your Fat, muscle mass and body mass index along with your weight and shows how hydrated you are. don't know if it's any good but I thought it was worth mentioning and looking into. I saw it on QVC and it was under 60 bucks. If interested go to QVC.com and the name of the scale is the…

I'm in sooo much trouble
Boy do I need help. Most of my exercise consists of jump rope. It burns an incredible amount of calories and is very high impact, which I need to keep the calcium from leeching out of my bones. Here's the problem: I did something awful to my ankle. But I can't afford to stop the jump rope. I don't like anything as much and…

Does weight training make you gain weight?
I have been working out regularly for about 6 months now. I wasn't getting as much definition as I wanted so I started doing some more weight training and incorporated protein shakes into my diet. I am stil staying at the same amount of calories (1270) as I was before, but working out harder, and more often. In the past…

Weight room woes...
I'm at college, so our rec center's weight room is full of buff jocks and their teeny blonde counterparts. It's very very intimidating... there's no one to show you how to use the machines, and I've never worked out with weights before, just done the elliptical and stationary bikes... I was wondering if there was some...…

Anyone doing Body for Life?
I started it last week and I feel so guilty on those days I only do 20 minutes of cardio....lol. I actually increase my cardio a bit more than he says but i am pushing myself for at least 20 minutes like the program suggests. Anyone doing this program that would like to discuss or even tell me if it worked for them, please…

Tips for first visit to the gym?
So, my husband and I have been looking at gyms, and we finally found one we like. It's small, well-staffed, lots of machines and not a billion people (even at busy times.) We're going tomorrow night after work for the first time. Does anyone have any suggestions about what a first workout should look like? It's been a…

I was just wondering how many calories everyone tries to burn during their work out or if anyone has a goal for burning calories. I normally try to burn around 400 with my normal workouts and then one day a week burn around 600. What about everyone else? I'm wondering if I'm working myself too hard. Although, I always feel…
