Daily Calorie Count
Hello! My daily calorie deficit is 1400/day. I never ever starve myself and always eat when hungry. Some days, I’m not hungry and barely meet 1000 calories. I’ve heard this will send my body into starvation mode, so I force myself to eat more after dinner—that’s when I realize my calorie count is low. Like today, my meals…

Feature request: Track animal and plant-based protein consumption separately
**NOTE** I am not a vegetarian but am interested in more flexible eating. Given the wealth of studies that show positive, statistically significant correlations between higher protein consumption from animal sources and rates of significant disease especially heart disease and cancer I am very interested in tracking…

Macros Help
It’s been a while since I’ve done my macros but I calculated them last night. I used to intermittent fast before I was pregnant. I now have a four month old and I want to get back into it but I lost significant weight from my pregnancy and had to update my macros. Now I don’t know what to eat. I included my daily…

Bone Broth, Fat Removed
I’ve made beef bone broth for collagen and protein, I’ve chilled it down and removed all the fat. ( roast potatoes on Sunday are going to taste very good! ) How do I calculate bone broth macros now the fat is removed? I can take the weight of the fat and work out the macros of that using beef dripping, but can I alter a…

Cacao nibs - ideas for recipes?
I love putting a few tablespoons of cacao nibs in my breakfast (fruit and yoghurt, sometimes with puffed spelt or muesli). Anyone else here who loves cacao nibs and has some other ideas on how to use caco nibs? I just bought a 1kg bag of cacao nibs, so enough to do some experiments  Edit: oops, I just noticed that…

Am I not eating enough?
Since the quarantine, I've been paying closer attention to how long my recipes last. I noticed that I'll cook something that's supposed to be 2-4 servings but it will last at least twice as many meals. Except for seasonings (e.g., spices, garlic onion, herbs), I measure and/or weigh all of the ingredients for accuracy.…

Calories
I’ve been eating around 800 calories a day. I don’t feel hungry and I’ve lost a lot of weight. I’m eating around 50% protein though. How do I make sure I’m not losing all my muscle?

Mood changes
Hey all! Has anyone else experienced initial mood changes after cutting calories and some unhealthy foods? I've found I'm a bit irritable and stressed at some times, but nothing extreme. I just began about a week ago. My guess was that my body may be adjusting to a fairly sudden change in diet.

lyme disease - what is best to eat?
I was at my orthopedics for knee pain and he was reading my records (same hospital system so he could see history). He asked if I had ever been tested for lyme disease (I had not) because I have so many symptoms. My insurance doesn't cover lyme testing so I need to see what I'm going to do next. In the meantime, I ordered…

Banana Intolerance
I am unable to eat a raw banana without experiencing severe abdominal discomfort ( not even one slice!) but am able eat cooked bananas (the enzymes are broken down and are easier to digest). For those of you with the same issue, have any of you tried to eat a frozen banana (perhaps in a smoothie) and if so, did you get the…

Weighing out rice
so I have been tracking my macros meticulously for a couple years. Love it. One thing I have had a hard time measuring out is rice. I cook for a family of four. Its easier to make a pot of rice and just scoop out. I know the weight cooked is not the same as uncooked. And there are way too many options in the search for…

Logging homemade foods?
Hi all. I've gotten really into making my own sourdough and yogurt and various other foods but I'm not sure how to log them? Should I find something comparable or do I need to create a recipe for each thing I'm making? If I create a recipe, how do I log the starter for the sourdough and yogurt? I've stopped tracking my…

Barcode scan should show verified foods by default, or a list of options
There are so many foods in the database now that are user entries with the wrong information, or information missing. It would be good if, when you barcode scanned items, it gave you a choice of matching foods and prioritised verified items. It's actually quite surprising how many of the barcode scan foods are wrong.

Courgetti bolognese
As a type2 diabetic I am dabbling with lower carb swap outs and today tried courgetti spaghetti with my bolognese. Some people call it zoodles? Very pleasantly surprised and definitely doing it again!
