Rib Flare?
Up until now, I've always thought I had a huge rib cage. Now, I know that it's actually "only" rib flare. From what I've read on the internet, it's fixable though I have no idea how to do so. Does anyone else have this? Did you fix it? How?

PT's worth it?
I am trying to transition from lifting weights at home to going to a Gym and start lifting heavier weights, due to anxiety the idea of 5ft little me walking over to the weights and lifting is scary haha. So I've decided that I'll look into getting a PT initially to allow me to gain more confidence to go to the gym. It…

Eating all my day's calories
Not new to diet and exercise but wondering if I should eat my "earned-through-exercise" calories or not. I want to lose (relose) about 20lbs. I've been working out with dumbells and some stationary biking 5-7 days/week and am over 60. Watcha think? TIA.

Seeking thoughts on my pull-up predicament.
Hey guys. So I have been doing (well, trying to do them at least) pull ups for the better part of a year now. I have never thought my form was perfect, but after watching some videos on proper form, I think it's not good. In all these videos, their arms are completely straightened on the way down. My problem is, the pull…

Weights/dumbbells and awkward to hold
Hi, I thought I'd start again with JM's 30 day fitness. Used to have the normal rubber type dumbbells but purchased this weight set from decathlon for the price and being able to adjust. The thing is even with the basic amount - just two 1kg weights and 1.6kg bar it comes to almost 5kg on each and even though bar is short,…

Is an under-desk pedaler worth it?
I do call centre work from home. I use a large non-adjustable desk with a lot of equipment, and a new table suitable for a walking pad is not an option. I was looking to get one of those under-desk mini elliptical peddlers as I'm at my desk all day four days a week, and want to know if this would make much of a difference…

Number of leg days per week----Is more better?
Hi, So I only do 30 minute leg workouts, combining weighted squats, dead lifts and Romanian deadlifts. Can I do this every other day or is that too much. On the other days, I do a 30 minute pretty intense trail bike ride to get my cardio in (I have heart issues so cardio is important for me to do). Thanks for any advise!

Please guide me on my new journey
I'm starting this all up in my 40s and I'm scared and heck to try again. I need help with my stomach area. Over the last year, my job has made me very stationary and I've gained over…

Starting strength on a smith machine
I would like to start lifting more than the dumbells I have been until now. Can I do starting strength on a smith machine? I don't have one yet but was planning to buy one because I will be lifting alone in my house without a spotter. If not, any other recommendations for me? Thanks.

"Bulky" vs "Muscular". The real definition.
I wanted people here (especially females) to know what the difference is between "bulky" and "muscular" because for some reason, many think they are one in the same when they aren't. So first let's define the words: bulk·y (blk) adj. bulk·i·er, bulk·i·est 1. Having considerable bulk; massive. 2. Of large size for its…

Eating back exercise calories
I'm just wondering what people's experiences are with eating or not eating back exercise calories? Does anyone find that if they eat them back, they don't lose? Or if you don't eat them back, you don't lose? I know the science and reasoning behind it all so I'm not asking for advice on whether or not you should eat your…

Are you exercise calories?
I´m sure there has been lots of discussion about exercise calories, but I´m still uncertain. For example today I have eaten 1500 calories (my goal is usually 1800) and exercised 450 calories. How much should I eat more? Or do I just go to sleep...
