Getting discouraged :-(
I have been on this health kick since January 1st, me and hubby supporting each other in healthy eating and weight loss. We both run everyday, stick to the diet (a couple of meals out, but not OTT) anyway, hubby has lost nearly two stone, I have lost 10 lbs in the first month, but thats it, I just can't get under 11 stone…

Putting it in perspective.
I have had a hard week. I'm at the lowest weight I've been since my mid 30s (I'm 43 now). However, I find myself getting disappointed because the weight isn't just falling off of me like it did in the beginning. Until now it was coming off about 1/2 a pound a day. Now I'm up and down between 133.4 and 134.5 and it's been…

Fear of Change
"When your desire to change is greater than your fear of changing, the excuses will go away." - Debbie Rucker No one would ever think the lack of discipline to lose weight and be healthy would ultimately result in fear of change. I mean we all want to be desired, we all want to feel beautiful, and we all want to live…

Anyone else do Tabata protocol?
Or am I the only one dumb enough to inflict that much misery and torture on my body? If you do, what exercise do you use, how many repetitions do you do, and what interval set do you use? Also, How often do you do it, and do you do anything after it? I always feel a little bit guilty later on that day because I only worked…

Challenge: Fridge Raiders Unite!
Hello, everybody, my name is Kayt and I'm a Fridge Raider. How many nights have I stood in front of the fridge, as intrepid as Indiana Jones, spoon in hand searching for the meaning of life in bites and tastes of every container I can find? Too many! It needs to stop. Now. Late night binging is always my downfall, and I'm…

Black Team Challenge Week Six!!!!!
Happy Week six people! I hope we all found a week without the scale refreshing. Good luck with weigh ins. I am going to take Marla's suggestions and go with abs this week. Stubborn Fat say Goodbye
It's time to prove that any one can say goodbye to their stubborn fat. For you men; it's that tire hanging around the middle, for ladies; it 's that excess on the hips, thighs, and butt (at least it is for me, some it's the belly). I've been successful at losing 40lbs so far and my husband has lost 70lbs. So not only do we…

The weeks nearly over but I know most of us are over stressed. But regardless of how yesterday went today is a shinning new day. If you "fell of the wagon" yesterday, pick your chin up off the floor and conquer today. AAO (adjust, adapt, overcome)!!! No food will ever replace the thrill of being able to play sports with…

Frustrated!!!!
Hi all, I have been on again off again on MFP since last year, when I was on a roll and lost 13 pounds. I've gained back at least half the weight, and every time I try to start again, I can't seem to stay within the calories for more than 4-5 days. Once weekend hits, forget it. I've recently started working out after a…

a little confused
So, when i joined my gym i had a free personal training session and it included a body fat measurement thing. Mine was right at 31% which the women told me is highly unacceptable basically. I told her i don't want to be wicked thin or athletic, just healthy. And that my goal was 160 pounds. My lean mass is 135 pounds…
