What's Your Most Recent NSV
My most recent NSV is taking a selfie with my daughter and seeing dimples again! I have hated how I've looked for so long and I actually don't hate this picture and my dimples are back. Can't remember the last time I saw those, I know it was when a Bush was in office! Even the fact that I was willing to take a selfie is an…

I am one of those women over 60 and I am losing weight again. I don't feel over 60 and I sure hope I don't look either. Record for Signing In??????
Way back in December 2012, our youngest son had a major surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. On the way home he commented that he would like to see both my wife and me live a lot longer by losing some weight and for my wife to quit smoking (She did a year ago in March). He gave me the link to myfitnesspal and suggested I try…

From fat to fit
To give a description of my previous build, I was 200lbs and about 5'3 at 12. Saying it was rough was an understatement, the constant bullying, breathing from walking up the stairs, I couldn't do anything. I hated looking in the mirror and I finally wanted to make a change. It doesn't have to be this complicated thing, it…

Logged 1000 days for the win!
I just reached 1000 days of logging my food on MFP. Down 70 pounds, or 28% of my starting body weight. That is Absolutely Surreal. I hesitate to make a post at all, much less a very, very long one. However, I have had life-changing success, and success stories on My Fitness Pal really, really, helped me, so here goes.…

First NSV post
My first NSV since downloading Myfitnesspal and actually logging my meals and exercise the last few days is that I noticed when I looked in the mirror my back fat looked less prominent and my skin had an over all glow! I also noticed I looked less bloated even if I neccessarily wasn’t feeling it or thought I was, and it…

Halfway Progress Photo - 62 pounds down
Halfway through my goal. 62 pounds down. I cut out alcohol, changed jobs, and left an unhappy relationship. I have been walking with the aid of Pokémon Go! Only eating out 2 nights a week and high fiber, high protein, meals. Replaced candy with fruit. Please add me if you want to join me on the remainder of my journey!

Starting over alcohol free
Today is day 15 alcohol free. Starting over with diet and exercise today. About a year and a half or so ago, I went a couple of months with no alcohol and dieting and exercising regularly. Lost 20+ pounds, and then one day, decided margaritas would be a good idea. Well, that ended December 3 when I was detoxing so bad I…

Lost 4 lbs in 1 week!
I would just like to share my routine on how I lost 4 lbs. I was really surprised when I weighed in yesterday, I was only expecting like 2 lbs something. I just followed my calorie counting (1380 cal/day) usually I would only have 1,000-1,200/day. I added GNC Total Lean 25 shake, their Pre-diet cleanse for 2 days and…

myfitnesspal and a1c
I enrolled in a Diabetes Prevention Program in July 2023 due to my pre-diabetic a1c level. I chose myfitnesspal to track my food for the program. In 6 months, my a1c level is no longer pre-diabetic and I lost 30 lbs. I continue to track all food and will continue for the foreseeable future.

Today is Day 1!!! On June 7th 2013, I was rushed to Emergency with stroke like symptoms. My whole right side of my body unresponsive.. Daily checking in.
I recently saw a post on daily accountability and this resonated with me. I think this is what I need but where and how!? Could MFP be the answer? I have unsuccessfully tried Noom, WW and for the last 4 months a personal coach to lose the weight. Instead I have steadily increased my weight by 2 kg!! I am a mother/…

What nobody tells you about losing weight
Wanted to make this thread for motivationial purposes more than anything but they don't all have to be super positive! More of what came as a surprise. I'll start.. - how much confidence it will actually bring, especially when strangers start treating you like royalty all of a sudden! - Sitting (particularly in baths) and…

Let it GO! Decluttering (simplifying) your life of (people, places or things) success stories?
Decluttering and throwing away or giving away the multitudes of "stuff" I have or have had for years (without using) is really helping me so much in this weight loss mind-set. What I'm doing is, ANYTHING I have, that I haven't used in 2 years or more...OUT IT GOES. Now this isn't as easy as it sounds, but as I'm downsizing…
