50 Pounds Down Since August 17th!!!
I hit a big goal for me this morning on Thanksgiving of all days! I have lost 50.9 pounds since starting low carb on August 17, 2018. All diet and no exercise. My sweet hubby just fixed my exercise bike. I’ve been rehabbing a knee injury and now it’s time to kick up the physical activity. Three more pounds and I’ll be in…

Today Marks 1 Year
Happy Thanksgiving! I typically don't like to toot my own horn, but today marks 365 days that I have logged into myfitnesspal. Through the past year I have gone from 195 pounds to 164 pounds. Logging my foods and exercise has certainly helped. For most of my life I have had high cholesterol which I had inherited from my…

Thanksgiving: Don't Sweat It - Eat It, Log It, Be Proud Of It!
I've seen so many threads already this year expressing concern about Thanksgiving... "What Can I Eat?" "How Do I Keep My Family From Thinking I'm Crazy Because I Don't Eat?" "What's Your Plan For Thanksgiving Calories?" "How Can I Not Gain This Week?" "Lowest Calorie Thanksgiving Choices" These are just a few of the titles…

#transformationtuesday Before & During Photos
6 and 1/2 months later, I'm not the same person I used to be. I'm no longer clinically depressed, my blood pressure is normal, my back ache issues are now a thing of the past, and I'm the strongest I've been in my adult life. I've lost 26 kgs (57 lbs) so far and I have 10 kgs (22 lbs) more to lose to reach my goal weight.

More Transformation Pics
I've always been ashamed of my body because I've also been body shamed severally. It's gotten to a point, I love my body and all its flaws and embrace the criticism but only listen to my inner voice about who I am because my body and weight don' t define me.

220lbs to 155lbs!
Took me about 9 months. 1300 cal/day, vegetarian, limited sugar, processed carbs and dairy. Tons of protein (yay Vega Powder!) and green vegetables! I go to the gym 4-5 days a week, and each day involves 30 mins of walking, 30 mins of cardio and 30 mins of strength training. I slowed down during the summer due to health…

At my half way mark with 40 pounds down
I’ve been over weight my whole life since 7 years old. I’m 21 now and finally losing the weight. I haven’t worked out yet but now that I’ve got a good portion of the weight off I am starting to lift weights. My diet is a casual vegan (I’ve been vegan for 3 years but just noticed weight loss changes in the past year) I used…

My story (lost 14kg/31lbs while travelling the world)
Hi everyone :) I'm Rocío, 24, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and I've lost about 14kg (31lbs). A few years ago, I started working remotely and I decided to become a digital nomad - travel the world while working on my laptop. This has been my biggest challenge in order to lose weight and eat healthy. I still want…

41 lbs in 4 months; easy peazy with MFP!
Thanks to MFP for helping me shred the pounds. I lost 41lbs in exactly 4 months, simply counting my calories. (And setting realistic goals; 8-10lbs/month) Week after week, I was surprised to see my loss, especially since I didn’t incorporate exercise. Logging everyday became like a game to me. I logged every meal, every…

I have been logging my food on MFP for 101 days in a row. I have learned so much from this group and about the best choices for myself on this journey. I am sure I still have much to learn in all respects - but today I am less than 200 pounds for the first time in years. So excited!! I have lost just shy of 29 pounds over…

A ten year battle.. but I think I’m winning
After many year of emotional eating and abusing my body with food I have to say I’m now in a good place. This photo compares my two years ago to today.. By no means is the war over but I like to think that the battles are going in my favour. I barely recognise the man in that first photograph so that’s got to be good right?

Never too late.
53 years old, slowing down and feeling pretty crappy about myself and my health. I love to cook and I love to feed people. I have never put any focus on a healthy manner of eating. I was VERY athletic in high school and had no problem eating like a horse and staying fit. Went into construction out of high school and…

In praise of DietBet
I just completed a 6month ‘transformer’ DietBet and I made it to my target weight. It was valuable to me simply because I had a ‘valid excuse’ to not drink alcohol or have another slice of cake etc when offered by others. In my experience, people are good at piling on the peer pressure to consume more, and just saying no…
