I'm getting bored with my current routine of P90X hybrid with Half Marathon Training and am looking for some at-home videos to supplement my calorie burn at night. I currently follow this plan: Weekdays @ 4:30 am; Weekends @ 8 am Mon/Friday: P90X strength routine (rotate through them) at gym Tues/Thurs: Easy 3-4 mile run…

spacing of workouts
I can't make it to the gym at weekends to to get my goal of 3/4 gym sessions a week I have to pretty much do them consecutively then miss a few days in a row. I imagine the best way would be every other day (giving muscles a chance to recover between sessions, etc) but that's just not an option right now. My question is:…

Jumping jacks and sore belly syndrome...
I'm sure I can't be the only one suffering from this. At 244 lbs, whenever I do jumping jacks, or really anything involving jumping up and down, I end up with a seriously sore belly. It's like boob jiggle, but they don't make sports bras for tummies. Or do they? I figured out a solution today. Upon nearly collapsing in…

SBF, Reboot Boogaloo...Jan 31
Howdy! Had a lovely meal yesterday. Even had one of our fellow diners say "it's been one of my best food days". Alas, it's over - so no desserts for two weeks. There's going to be a special V-day menu with tea pairings (very nice for us teetotalers) at one of our favorite restaurants - and there will be a dessert…

HIIT training on the treadmill..my fav workout right now!
I love to shake up my treadmill routines, HIIT training might be what your'e looking for because chances are, you warm up, then set the speed for the next 30-plus minutes and stay with that speed and incline. Or you may use one of the treadmill's programs, in which the incline automatically changes at varying points along…

Need to work my abs.....
Like all of us, I desperately need to work on my core, but just can't stand to! I've seen the 3 minute abs, which is not bad, I just have to do it!!!! Took my measurements today and I've lost inches from almost all the areas I measured before...with the exception of my belly! Oh well, I will get this figured out!

Runners Relief!
So I went to A bone and joint specialist today, I was worried about my knee. It has been hurting for the last month and has gotten worse each week, even with rest. I went from running 4.5 miles down to less than 1.5:sad: The dr. told me that because my glutes are weak it is pulling on my IT Band, that in turn has pulled my…

Beginner Weight Lifting DVD for Senior?
Hi Guys. I really want my mom (62 years old) to start resistance training. She's able-bodied and not in horrible shape, but certainly not in "good" shape. I think the biggest issue is that, given her generation, lifting weights is completely foreign to her. She has always stuck to walking for general fitness. Resistance…

Must be doing something right
Started exercising in earnest about 4 weeks ago. Just basic step ups, then added hand weights. At week 2 added an HRM to keep me honest. This week had to adjust the step higher. Added 4 pounds on a weight vest. I am barely making into my training HR zone. Time to add more weight to the vest. I think this exercise stuff is…

Am I doing this right?!
Anyone know whether I'm on the right track...? I want to lose some weight, though not very much - about five to seven pounds. P90Xers...First Run in 5 weeks... No time drop off
I started P90X at the start of the New Year 2011. I thought being in reasonable shape I could continue running 4 to 5 times a week while doing the P90X workouts. Recently ran half marathon and did some strength training. Ha Ha. Ha (WRONG) I was wiped out by the workouts. Sure you can dog it and fake it but I leave…

A little background. I have not run in 15 years and yesterday I did W1D1 of the C25K Running Program. So now today, my legs are pretty darn sore. I am not sure if I should do my other exercise which is a ski machine or elliptical. I don't want to injure a leg and have to quit the C25K. So, is there anything I can do for…
