I'm trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong or my heart rate monitor needs to be returned. Whenever I work out, the monitor is only showing like a third of my calories burned. Just wanted to let y'all know I found a very cool...FREE app available on the ipod touch or iphone. It's called Nike Training Club. It has so many different workouts and you can earn personal "rewards" after completing so many hours. I did my first workout tonight and can't wait to explore more workouts. Enjoy!

Numb toes on elliptical
Does anyone else have this problem? After about 30min on the elliptical my toes start to get really numb and uncomfortable. I try to keep wiggling them during my workout but that last 5 minutes is torture! My shoes are not tight, and my sockies are pretty cushy grrrr!

Lowering Heart Rate
Anyone have any tips on lowering your heart rate while exercising. I know overall cardio fitness helps, as well as just having those genes, but any specific exercises or intensities? I was just reading 50/50 by Dean Karnazes and it said he runs 4 fours without going over 110 bpm.
