Tip to the right, allowing your right elbow to touch the floor. Keep those elbows drawn back. Straighten your back and tip to the left. Then back and…

So I went Geocaching today
Does anybody on this board Geocache? I have been doing it since 2006 but today was the first time I had been out since February this year. I was walking up and down hills in the bush for about an hour or so and almost fell down a gully but it was so worth it. Burning Calories the whole time too :-) I have a video here I…

Any GREAT workout dvds out there worth buying?! :)
Now that winter has hit here, running outside is not much of an option. I enjoy doing workout videos but get bored pretty easily. I have recently started Zumba classes but have never done the DVDs, are they worth it? Any suggestions of workout videos that are actually fun and addicting? Any good dance ones with GOOD music?…

Exercising question
When you log your exercise time in MFP, do you put in the total time you exercised? Or just the time you were actually working? For example, lets say I was running for 60 seconds, then walk 30 seconds, back and forth for 20 minutes, would I log 20 minutes or 15?

Do you have to be a gym member?
My question is Do you think that you lose weight more effectively when you are a gym member? Or do you think that you can do it just as well at home? Thanks in advance xx

Calories burned?
HI, I have been slowly starting to work out, and I am not sure how accurate the calories burned estimates are on here. When I ride the recumbent bike for 20 minutes it will say I only burned like 70 cals, but when I put it in to MFP...it says like 299 cals burned. Anyone know how accurate the estimates are? Any good way of…

Calorie Counting Watch
I'm dead curious how many calories I am burning during my own work outs (rather than using the estimate on the site, it would prove more accurate to me, especially on saturdays when I do a number of gym classes and walk multiple hours completely wrecked) I am wanting recommendations on a watch which can do that without the…

HRM & Exercise Calories Strategy
I finally broke down and bought a heart rate monitor (Polar FT7) because I need to compare exercises to have some confidence in what I record as exercise Calories in my log. Most of the time I use either my bicycle or a treadmill for cardiovascular exercise. I've relied on estimates based upon what my bike computer (a…

Stairclimber?
Thinking about getting a stair climber for my house. I have bad shin splints so treadmills are a no-no, and I want a more intense workout than an elliptical. Anybody have thoughts on this? Advice? How well do they work? What is your burn when you use one? Thanks!

one thing I have always wondered about, does this mfp or this site http://www.healthstatus.com/cgi-bin/calc/calculator.cgi take into account the number of calories you would have burned if you hadn't been exercising??? I have been subtracting that amount from my calories burned in order to get a more accurate amount. you…

Any one have a Tesco HRM? (UK)
I just bought a Tesco One Body HRM. The reviews on the Tesco website were a bit mixed, but the main point seemed to be if you could manage to read the small print of the instructions and set it up correctly it was a very good buy, with the same, ifnot better features than some expensive ones. I've bough mine new on Ebay…

Advice on new HRM....
My Polar F6 is, I think, dying. I know the chest strap is over two years old and likely ready to go anytime. I replaced the watch battery and the jeweler didn't seal it, so I sealed it with silicone and now it occasionally has "brain freeze" where the screen goes blank and it loses whatever data has not yet been stored -…
