My butt hurts!!

I'm sure this has been asked before but: which is better for toning? Increasing reps or increasing weight? I don't want to look bulky (I'm short and compact already) . . . Also: are hand weights (5, 8, 10 pounds) as/less/more effective than the machines at a gym?

Got my F6!
I got my F6 and had to test it out of course when I got home. I put it on and started cleaning. Mopping, sweeping, moving stuff around, vacuuming. Well in 45 min I burned 111 according to the HRM. Would you log this kinda thing or not? It isnt a lot but it is a lot more than sitting on your butt.

Everytime you lose 10lbs it asks you if you would like to change your goals. I kept mine the same... But before it suggested I burn 1010cals a week and now it says i should try to burn 970 a week. Why did it go down and should I be following this?

I know the best way to check calories burned is with a real HRM but I don't have one.
