Soy Burgers = Again!
Do you know those "fake" soy burgers you get at the local gas station? I LOVE them. They also sell those in the cafeteria at the schools. Everyone thinks they are gross. Those are the ones i'm looking for. Does anyone know if those are actually the healthy burgers? I know soy is in general, but I'm talking about the ones…

Wet Burritos
Apparently they are a "michigan" thing.. Anyways- had one for dinner tonight (had plenty of calories left to use-- so thought i'd go enjoy one).. but the restaraunt (Taco BOY) didn't have nutritional info on any of their food-- so i thought i'd google calories for a wet burrito. All I could find were recipes- and ones that…

Odd question.
So when I was in my undergrad, my roommate was doing weight watchers. She told me, that when people lose weight, they lose if from the top down. Like...they lose around their waist, then hips, then thighs and legs. Is this true? Because honestly, I lost an inch around my waist, but nothing on my legs yet...which is where I…

What's a Serving Size?
Every day, we are faced with many different sources of nutrition from which to choose. Some nutrition experts tell us to base our choices on a food pyramid, some use a point system and others recommend use of prepackaged meals. Wouldn’t it be healthier to learn how to eat regular foods and watch our portion sizes? Learning…

Where can I find a "meal" program to fit MFP????
I'm trying to spread my caloric intake out. But, I need to also know what is a healthy balanced meal. I don't really like meat. I avoid it. The only meat I will eat is one of those slivery hamburgers in a happy meal and McDonalds. I don't eat seafood, chicken, red meat...nothing......I love veggies, but they don't fill me…

Hey! Does it matter if you eat 5 fruits or 5 veggies a day. Fruits are easier to eat on the go-Orange juice, apples, etc but I can't seem to get that many veggies in a day. Any suggestions?

Gotta try this great health food bar!
The Clif Mojo Mountain Mix bar is my all time favorite snack. They contain raisins, nuts, chocolate chips and have the consistency of a rice krispies treat. The salty sweet combination is totally different and very satisfying. There are other varieties available but the Mountain Mix flavor is the best. I eat one every day.

What supplements do you take?
I'm a big fan of drinking green tea. I also use reishi extracts (its a mushroom which is reknowned for its medical benefits both in supressing cancer as well as many others) at least once a day. Beyond that, I take my one-a-day multi-vitamin (Men's Health Formula) to make sure my nutritional needs are met, and for prostate…

I had posted this yesterday in another post......this was my past week before weighing on Thursday. This has been pretty average lately. I am just trying to get a good idea of how many calories to eat, especially on the days I work out. I think I am fine on the days I don't. Also, the calories burned is based on the…

What is your favorite "cheat day" treat?
I have one "cheat day" a month where I get to eat some "bad stuff" (within reason of course). When it comes time to "pick my poison" I usually eat ice cream or chocolate. Used to eat Chinese food on cheat days until I found out how much fat, sodium and sugar it had:noway: What do you all eat on your cheat days?

Sushi
Sushi has got to be the greatest diet food ever. High in iron, potassium, fiber, and pretty much every other healthy thing you could look for. My friends and I went out for dinner this evening and I was terrified about my calorie count, and it turns out that despite having 2 6-piece sushi rolls, a salad with ginger…

will this affect me?
To make a long story short, the past 2 days have not been so good for me. Both days I had a binge on foods that are healthier than most (dark c.c. cookies, nothing hydrogenated), but still they were 150 cals. each. So the first day was ok because I made up the binge in exercising it off. The second day was worse. I started…

Going over on carbs and protein
When it comes to carbs and protein, I consistantly go over my limit on both by about 20. I usually stay within my limit on cals and fat. What can this be doing to my body? I do exercise...hiking 30 mins twice a week and using a weighted jumping rope 30 mins three times a week, but other than that I'm pretty inactive during…

Man this is hard!!
I am trying to take the advice and eat more on the days I work out. I guess my net calories have been pretty low. So I have calculated my dinner and dessert and have my calorie intake up to around 1850 (when I usually stick to 1550 even on days I burn like 700 calories).........I just feel like I'm cheating or like I will…
