I have been trying for the last two months to work out but something always comes up. I wanted advice from others in similar situations. I have to wake up at 6am to go to work. I get off work at 7pm. I cook a healthy meal once I get home. As you can see I get off work really really late so I'm pretty much wiped out. At…

Question??
Ok this may be a stupid question so forgive me if it is-lol-but why would it say that my daily calorie deficit (spelling?) is only 420? I thought MFP always just gives you a 500 calorie a day deficit. Does it change as you lose weight? And once again if this is a common sense question I apologize! haha =) Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know.......
I have been doing this for around 50 days now. I have lost 11lbs, and that is great, but for the last two weeks the scale hasn't moved. I am sticking to my calories 1200, and working out. I have been on my elliptical every day. Why am I stuck?

Stuck :-(
Hey Everyone, So I've been using MFP for about 3 months now and it has been going great. I live in NYC and work retail so I do a lot of walking and therefore don't have an exercise log but the food log has been a tremendous help so far. For my height I should land between 125-135 lbs so my goal is 130 but for the past…

Be kind...
Ok, what is in the air? There have been quite a few postings lately where people have been back and forth trying and bickering in postings about what is "right" or "wrong" in diet and exercise, etc. What happened to just being supportive and encouraging of one another and taking all the info in that others have to offer?…

Swimming - do you count the calories?
I haven't counted the calories from swimming, but I wanted to see if you guys do. I looked at the calories lost calculator thingy and it shows that if you swim leisurely for one hour you burn 500 calories. WTF? I can kill myself on the treadmill for one hour and burn 400 calories, but swimming, I hardly break a sweat -…

So I've increased my calories but my protein comsumption is very high. Today for example I am -13 for protein but calories and everything else is good. I've had 3oz of grilled chicken…

Sugar vs Glycemic index
Okay, I think I have been researching too much and have an overload of info. Should I be more concerned with the amount to sugar in food or the glycemic index # of the food? I'm not on Atkins or South Beach so I'm not restricting all of my carbs, so which one should I be paying closer attention to???

Everything but the leg has heeled by now, but the leg is full of complications and we found out yesterday that…

Last summer, I lost 10 lbs with MFP and was able to keep it off the whole school year (not an easy feat since I am a college student!). Bloat?
I know that water is the best way to get rid of sodium-induced bloat, but I was wondering if there as anything else to help make this bloat go away more quickly. I just feel huge, and I know TOM isn't helping. If anybody has any (non chemical) suggestions I'd really appreciate it. I already drink 10+ cups of water a day…

When does it become normal activity?
I have a question. For my exercise, I only count activity that is above and beyond the norm. So I am trying to walk the dog every day because he needs it. It's a decent walk and I burn about 200 calories. When do I stop counting that in my exercise calories, or do I? What's your opinion? Thanks folks!:flowerforyou:

No fast food in over a month!
I took a 'challenge' on another site (which I can't find now) to skip fast food for a whole month. That's tough for me! From Wendy's Chicken nuggets, to McD's french fries and Sausage Egg Biscuit.....some of that was for convenience, on my way home from somewhere and not wanting to fix something when I got home. Well I did…
