Reached One of my short-term goals.
Just ran my 2-mile in 15:32 this morning. I've been busting *kitten* all summer to get my time under 16 minutes. When I finished, I kept on jogging for another mile. My next step is to shave off another minute (for my army PT test). And got another 25 lbs to drop. Half way there.

8 lbs!
While I ***** and moan a lot I have lost 8 lbs since starting here! That is 8 lbs less than I would have been had I not taken some action on my poor habits. I am so happy! I still don't fit into my skinny jeans, but that is OK, because I will!!!!!

I just have to share
That I had a REALLY bad eating day yesterday, over by 1800 calories..no bullish! enough for another body. So this morning I woke up & forgot to bring lunch to school... Happy Birthday to me!!! Goal not bet :(
Well today is my birthday and the goal I set for myself 5 months ago was not met. I wanted to lose 50 pounds by my birthday and I only lost 42. I am proud, yet disappointed. I am hoping to lose the 8 I should have lost by the time I start back teaching school on Aug 25. 8 pounds in 3 weeks. Maybe if I walk 2 miles a day…

MY FIRST 10!!!
I've lost my first 10 lbs since joining MFP!!! :drinker:  A few years ago, I was 215 lbs and lost 25 lbs using Weight Watchers. After that initial loss, I didn't try very hard anymore and stayed at 190 for another few years (lucky I didn't gain it back). A friend told me about this site and as of June 8th, I…

200?
Wish me luck! Hopefully I'll be under 200 by end of this week. Haven't been there in a year. Sad how the weight just creeps on over the years until one day you look at the scale and see that you are back up to you're just about to deliver your 9 lb. baby weight!

Do the counter really work...

Weekend Update - 13 inches and 10 lbs gone
DISCLAIMER - the 13 inches gone were of HAIR.... I donated again to Locks of Love (I am now up to 6ft 4 inches donated since I started many years ago... there are a couple of little kids running around somewhere with brand new thick brown hair that they always wanted!). My hair is now short, and I like it. I think I tend…

So proud
Ok, so like a lot of people that I have seen on this board, my work had a weight loss competition. The team that loses the highest % gets a $500 dollar shopping spree each. I am a very competitive person. Today was the last day of the challenge and we do not get to find out the winner until next Monday, but thanks to this…

1st Anniversary
One year ago today I began my journey for getting healthier. I quit smoking on this day, which eventually led to my being able to breath better so that I could work on my weight. As a result, I have lost 25 lbs so far. Thanks to my Nutritionist for introducing me to MFP. :flowerforyou: Although I was losing…

Back on the weight loss journey
I know this may not be a big success story or anything but it is great for me. I have been a total slacker for the past few months and had been eating bad and not exercising, and gained 7 pounds back. Well, yesterday I made up my mind that I would eat great and I ate great. I upped my calories from 1400 to 1600 too. I will…

This was GRRRREEAATTT - like Tony the Tiger!
So, for the latter half of July I had given myself numerous excuses to not work out as much as I should. Needless to say I probably worked out like twice in three weeks :grumble: Last week I had enough and said "NO MORE" so I went to my spinning class. Since that is when I normally weigh myself (but hadn't in 3 weeks) I…

Even though I know it was AFTER i worked out.....i weighed myself and even though it was only by 0.2 lbs....the scale read lower than it has in 10 years! I started working out before work in the morning, and then going after work on days that i work. I just wanted to share that little success story.

I didnt bbuy it but I did try on a size medium dress and it fits me wonderfully. I think I might keep that tag. I couldnt help jumping up and down in the dressing room. My girls were jumping up and…

I was on my Wii Fit this morning and I went back on my graph to when I started in January and I've lost 10 pounds since then. 6 of them since joining MFP but I was so happy to see that I've lost 10 total. I didn't realize I had hit 10 pounds!

average weight
I am pretty excited. Today I weighed myself and this is the first time I have not been overweight in my life. I have been working so hard to get to that certain number on the BMI scale. I know the BMI isn't really accurate when judging weight, but to me, it was something to strive for. I still have 20 pounds to lose, but…

Amazing first week
So I have been trying for the last year to lose the 40 or so pounds I gained when I was pregnant with my little angel. However I have had multiple injuries including a car accident in which I broke my hand. Well finally a week ago I told myself enough is enough, time to get this done. So I set a goal to lose 1.5 lbs a week…
