Running
I started running 4 months ago and I'm up to 3 miles. My question is how long should I rest between my runs? On some days I can run 3 miles no problem but on other days I'm lucky to get a mile or 2 in and I'm trying to go for 4 miles but I can't seem to get there. Am I doing something wrong?

Interval Training v. Regular Walking
Is interval training - say for 20 minutes, ranging between 3.0-4.5 mph on a treadmill more effective or less effective than 40 minutes on the treadmill at 3.3 mph. I have heard so much about interval training and how it helps. Any thoughts or experiences with this? Any input is appreciated.

I wasn't sure if I should post this in fitness or nutrition, but - should I follow a good work out with a low fat protein shake? Or does too much protein defeat the purpose? I don't want to loose the muscle, just the fat. Any suggestions? Thanks! Sandy

I did a half marathon on Sunday, and have another one a week on Sunday (i.e. 2 weeks apart). My legs are still a little sore, but certainly better than yesterday. How are you supposed to log calories from a workout video? There is no way of knowing.
