Great viewpoint of carbohydrate consumption.
I never post threads here. But this is good. "I see carbs as elective macronutrients, in general. I don’t elect to eat all that many of them, personally, but that’s because I’ve tailored my lifestyle such that this is the healthiest way for me to eat. Eat more if you’re going to be burning glycogen. Eat fewer if you’re…

How to count marinades
If you marinate something then drain and cook it, how do you account for the marinade when you log the meal? Most of the marinade gets drained away and I don't eat any sauce it goes into, but some of it must be absorbed into the food or there wouldn't be much point in marinating to begin with! All I can think of is just to…

So which one of these are true?
* could be triggering, sorry * I have EDNOS - basically I either eat and throw up or I don't eat. The question I always asked myself was - How many calories are absorbed after purging the food? Some people say it's 50-90% which CAN'T be true. Quite a time ago, I went from 44 to 40 in a couple of weeks by throwing up food.…

Calorie intake for an active, 5'8" 18 yr old female?
I started college this year, and I feel completely junky because of all the terrible food they give us. I'm gluten intolerant, so my main food lately has been frozen grapes, broccoli, humus, A LOT of trail mix, soups, salads (no dressings), and at the end of the day-a ton of chocolate! After being concerned with my…

Infuser for water
Brookstone has a cool gadget where you put fruit or mint or whatever in the bottom of a water flask. When you screw on the flask, it crushes what you put in there and then infuses the water with the juice. A fun way to mix up your water a bit. I had 25$ to kill at Brookstone and purchased this. A bit pricey but a cool idea.
