discovering veggies
I never liked vegetables. Not even a little bit. Beyond a baked potato and some tomatoes on my burger, I avoided vegetables. Obviously, once my teenager metabolism switched over to adult metabolism, I was constantly fighting the fat. Then 30 came along. It didn't take long to for me to have 200+ pounds on a 5'1 frame. So…

wedding food
So I am going to a wedding reception this evening and was thinking about how I am going to log the food I eat there. I have no clue what will be on the menu and will try to be careful, but as I know we all have found, sometimes things that seem "safe" are packed with calories and tons of fat. I just want to try to log as…

Extra Calories
I went way over on calories (like by 1,000) in one day. Is it okay to cut out an extra 200 calories every day the rest of the week to make up for it? Will it balance out my day over or do I need to stick with the plan and forget yesterday?

Dinner! Yum!
Tonight we made skewers of chicken, shrimp, green bell peppers, zuccini, and squash, lightly marinated them with a mixture of lite balsamic dressing and garlic herb seasoning, and put them on the grill. YUM! Less than 300 calories, full of protein, and very filling! My favorite part: Grilled green bell peppers. There's…

Sodium
So I was just looking at my reports for the past couple of days. My amount of sodium seems high >2000mg. Is that high? Does it matter in weight loss? I drink water all day long. At least 2 gallons per day, sometimes 3 so I think I should be flushing it all out but am I??

I saw a video on my diabetes monitor website for a chocolate PB smoothie that they made using chocolate protein powder (no sugar I think). I've looked on Amazon.com, and that stuff is sooo expensive! I don't have a health food store nearby, so would have to get it off the 'net. Plus, some of it is called whey powder--is…

Am I really supposed to drink all that water?
Okay, so since September I have worked from about 3 am until all odd hours during the day, then volunteered 50 hours a month teaching the bible, then taken care of kids and all that good stuff, only to get to bed by about 11 each night. Oh yeah, after having my gallbladder removed. So I gained a solid 10 lb. Not the kind…

650 Calories left!!! Need suggestions...
Okay, I know it's unhealthy - I have 650 calories left today and quite a few carbs and whatnot.
