Recent Knee Injury Prohibits Me to Excercise
I just started Fitness Pal today because I have heard good things about it from co-workers. I recently had a major knee injury that will require surgery and am wondering if there is anything I can do to make sure I don't gain a lot of weight during my recovery time and/or lose a little of weight in the process. Before my…

MFP calorie question
As I lose weight, do I need to adjust my calories on mfp? When I started I was 274 and on track to lose 1 lb a week, my calorie goal was 2400. I am at 267 now and it still says I need to eat 2400. I guess my question is after I lose, let's say 10 lb, will mfp readjust my calorie goals? I just want to make sure I am on…

Tracking workouts in MFP vs. Fitbit
Should I be logging my cardio workouts in myfitnesspal or on fitbit? I have the accounts linked so I am concerned that if I log my workouts in MFP that fitbit will also detect them and then I will be doubling up on calories burned. Don't want to do that or I might eat more than I am supposed to.

Technology!!
Okay, so I was looking at bodymedia to get to track my activity, I liked what it had to offer, however, there is no way I'm wearing that thing everyday at work! Just won't fly. Plus there is a monthly rate! So..... What are technology bands you use and why do you like them and what do you not like about them? Pros and…

Fitbit Advice
I just picked up my pink Fitbit last night and set up my dashboard. First off let me tell you I am STOKED! I did somehow screw up tracking my sleep or I guess I forgot to turn off sleep mode... oops still learning. But do you have any advice or secrets to the Fitbit that I may not know or anything that took you a little…

Is there a way to stop macros from changing on MFP daily?
Is there a way that my goals (calories, protein, carbs, fat) can just remain at the goal that I set them too instead of updating based of my exercise calorie adjustments?

I don't want to fail this time!!!
Hi! I am a binge eater, ex-calorie counter. First of all, my binges are nothing like what I read here. The worst thing I saw wasn't even considerable as a binge for me. Second of all, I can't diet. I can't stick to not eating the whole cake for even 3 minutes. And I am so sick of my excuses. I can diet, because I have to.…

Setting a goal weight?
Noob here! I'm trying to set a goal weight, and not quite sure what to aim for. Currently 5'8" and about 200 lbs. I know that the upper end of "healthy" for a woman my height is 160. Is that a good goal to aim for? Forty pounds just sounds like such a big number to lose, it's kind of daunting....

How did you begin?
When you first started dieting, how did you go about it? Did you only count calories, or did you also change the types of foods you ate? I feel like a drastic lifestyle change would be difficult, and I'm not sure if I could realistically stick with it. I'd like to see what other people's experiences were like.

Overwhelmed....need advice from seasoned/successful MFPers
I have been at this many many times and know that for me, if I don't see results, be it on the scale OR in my clothes, I quickly get discouraged. I have been losing and gaining the same 1.5 lbs since February. I have been successful in the past so I know I can do it again. I've been doing a lot of reading on here and…

Question
It's been awhile since I have used this app and the last time I did, I actually gained weight. I think I was eating way to many calories even with exercise. Anyway, quick question. I get a little over 1500 calories to eat and I burned 692 ( I am sync with fitbit) I still have 753 calories left Should I be eating these…

Best wrist HRM? Thought I would ask you guys.
Hello, I work in a place where a chest band or even a bulky apparatus such as the bodymedia fit is impractical to use. I wish to monitor my body as much as I can. However I must disguise my HRM as a wrist watch. Which one can I get that monitors Heart rate and calories burned with the most accuracy on the wrist. Thanks…

Now or never, at least it feels that way
I am 31. I have 3 amazing kids, a 5y/o son, and 3y/o b/g twins. They are my biggest motivation to losing weight. I want to lose weight because I am a healthy obese person, and I do not want to turn into an unhealthy obese person. My only constant health issues are Hashimoto’s disease (which I take .237mcg synthroid for…

This is a bit overwhelming
I'm not trying to make excuses, I really intend on seeing this through. To take some initiative, I've removed caffeine from my diet and started getting my sleeping schedule back in check. Eating breakfast for once and making sure it's in the OK, like eggs and oatmeal. Oh, and calorie watching of course. The issue is, I…
