Exercise Burn Out?
Several years ago, I did a week trial at Curves. On the initial visit, the person asked me what other activities I did. I told her that I walked in the mornings and did an exercise video in the evenings. When I commented that I wanted to workout at Curves every day, she told me that the most I should do was every other…

Is working out 4x a week good enough?
I usually work out 5x per week (on the weekdays) and have my weigh-ins on Saturday mornings. If I were to just take a break today, but did a workout on Friday (to make 4 workouts total) and stayed within my daily calorie count of 1200 calories/day...would I still lose weight by my weigh in? Or would I gain? I've been…

Garmin 405 vs. Garmin 405CX
My marathon training is starting to get pretty intense so I'm trying to decide whether to get the Garmin 405 or the Garmin 405CX. Right now the 405 has a 50 dollar rebate, so I'm wondering if the CX is worth the extra money. Anybody have any advice/suggestions??

Question about 30 Day Shred
What do you list it under in your exercise log? I have been listing it as 18 minutes of general aerobics, but I've been reading that some people log it as circuit training. Any input would be great, as I don't have a HRM.

Jillian Michaels Cardio Kickboxing
Hello All, I LOVE 30 Day Shred and I'm SLOWLY :grumble: beginning to like her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism DVD. I really like the first circuit (not the warm up) in the BFBM DVD and any of the kickboxing stuff. I just found out she has a kickboxing DVD and wanted to see what people think. Body Bugg or Go Wear Fit
Anyone used either of these devices? Any feedback? I'm tempted .. but I'm not sure how good they are. On the one hand they seem a bit kookie but then if they're using them on the Biggest Loser maybe they ARE good. Mind you .. the Biggest Loser is just becoming one big commercial .. so who knows. Let me know if you have one…

Went indoor rock climbing for the first time last night. It was really hard. I knew it would be, but I had no idea how weak and unfit I was. I thought I was in alright shape, but not so much. I am going back next wednesday, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit discouraged. My hands were so tired when I got home, I…

blood flow, nerves & exercise (shoulders, neck & back)
Hey all.. I'm looking for some tips on really good exercises to help loosen the above. I carry my stress in these areas which have resulted in "permanent muscle spasms", which then puts a ton of pressure on the nerves and vessels, causing numbness, my entire arm and sometimes neck to "fall asleep" (particularly while…

How to help your body recover from strenuous exercise
I have been faithfully working out daily for a while now - all cardio, like elliptical, running, biking, etc. Today I tried out a class at the gym and it was called "Sculpt and Tone". 60 minutes of exercising with weights at a fast pace to aerobics music. Things like squats, lunges, flys, etc. I know I will be outrageously…
