Couch to 5k Running Plan
Has anyone tried the couch to 5k? I started it today, but I can't see myself jogging for thirty minutes in 9 weeks... I was huffing and puffing today after just 10 minutes of very brisk walking. If you've done it, please share your sucess!!

realistic goal?

Exercising adds bonus calories?
I'm exercising and my calories get bumped up because I worked out....what's that all about? I've never adjusted my diet because I work out before. I'm not doing lifting yet- just cardio. My cal's are supposed to be 1200 a day but w/ working out it's like 1500....that seems like a bit much. Please help =)

How do you know how far you run?
Everyone is reporting in on how far they run. I have a rough idea because I know my pace but unless I am with a training group with a route mapped out for me I only have a guess. What do you all use? Curious Bunny :happy:

Exercise
I have one a plastic step a dance work out Dvd and a ski glider to work out on, would using those most days help me lose weight as i dont have the time to go out to a gym with having 2 little boys under 3. At the moment all i do is sit on my bum feeding baby and entertaining my other little boy.

I just got a sales promotion from K-Mart, and they have a lot of heart rate monitors that are on sale for less than $30. Heart Rate Monitor Question for those w a Polar

Am I really burning THAT many calories?
So when I input my 30-40 min walks in MFP it will say anywhere from 285-356 depending on the time and speed but my HRM has given me numbers in the 400s consistently, the highest was 450 for a 40 min walk... is this right??? I'm so worried that my HRM isnt accurate... btw I have a Polar F6
