I just started looking at my sugar also and am always over, most of my sugar is from fruit. I think the goals on here are insainly low for me but I am not sure what a good number to set it at is. Can anyone who watches their sugar tell me where to even start. I use to eat candy everyday and then could understand my sugar…

Food for Thought...
Now that I am seriously counting calories and keeping a log, I am amazed at how many calories one eats without realizing when we are in the "unknown". When you get in the habit of logging them down, you automatically start thinking of food differently! I also look at all the restaurants and food industry and am amazed how…

suggestions for fast food?
I know it would probably make more sense healthy-eating wise to skip fast food lunches altogether, but I really don't want to give up that extra getaway in my workday. I get paid for being the lunch-getter, free food, and generally spend a lot of time sitting around doing nothing at work. Basically, I look forward to…

Propel Fitness Water

Red Wine
For those out there who are finding that red wine is ruining the calorie plan for the day, I might make a suggestion: Pomegranate juice in a wine glass. To spritz it up a bit, add selter water. There is a low sugar brand out there and it's only like 29 calories in 8 ounces. Just a thought.

8 Cups of water

Sushi and High Fructose Corn Syrup
I was at the supermarket this weekend looking for some lunch and thought I might get some sushi. I looked at the ingredients and the second thing listed was high fructose corn syrup. I'm devastated!! Please troubleshoot me
I’m sure other people (especially women) have a similar experience. I've averaged about 1250 net calories per day (after eating my exercise calories) and I only maintain my current weight. Many say that means I need to eat more calories. When I increase my calories I gain weight very quickly. (One weight-loss diet I…

Great Summer SNACK!
Here is a delicious treat my mom used to make for me when I was younger. It is so simple, I can't believe I forgot about it!! Just peel a banana, wrap it in tin foil, and FREEZE IT! A smaller banana has like 70-80 calories and because it is frozen it takes longer to eat and is SO refreshing on hot summer days.

A question
So here's the thing. I'm living at home for the summer and my parents eat very late...sometimes after 8:00. I've found that pretty often I end up with a lot of calories to spend toward the end of the day, so I've been eating bigger dinners. It's tough to eat a small meal and finish off my calories after because there's…

I guess this is a good problem to have...
Ok, here is my stupid problem. I keep undereating and then at the end of the day, when I look at my calories and fat etc... I need more! So I try to eat something else. This is probably hurting me more than helping me cause I end up eating too close to bed time. I ate tonight and I wasn't even hungry, but I had only had…

Vegetarian picnic suggestions?
So, we're going to the beach this weekend with a couple of friends. Out of the group, I'm the sole meat eater, which means the menu is vegetarian. Not a problem for me, I love vegetarian food. However, most of what I make has to be cooked or refridgerated. SO as you could guess, that'll lead to some issues. So far I was…

Tropical Smoothie Cafe
Does anyone know what "turbinado" is??? Is it automatically added to every smoothie they make if you do not specify? I was looking up points on dotties and I see every smoothie listed with splenda or listed with turbinado, so Im wondering if that is something you specifically ask to have added or if its automatically done…

For example :- I like to buy brown rice/brown pasta. Olive Oil. Organic Eggs. Pita Bites (Costco) Blue Agave Sweetner (Trader…

Weight Management Essentials
I found this on Subway's website and I thought I would share it: Eat 3 meals per day and small snacks. Skipping meals or only having 1-2 meals per day may cause the body to reduce the amount of calories it burns and lead to overeating at meals. Eat slowly. This allows your body to tell more accurately when it is getting…

Fear of Going Over
So I had a sneaky little calorie surprise today, Salad Toppins. 35 calories not too bad except that is for 1 1/3 tbsp. Now I didn't look at that before I ate and let’s just say I went over board on them. Well now I have 586 calories to get me through the day. I think I will end up going over that. I have my in-laws coming…
