Face Burns after Working Out?
Hi, all! I have a question for youse guys. After a good workout, I know it's normal for your face to flush and turn red. But my face burns really bad and feels sore and raw. I figure it has to do with the sweat because it feels like rubbing salt into an open wound. Anyone know what causes this or how I can prevent it?

I rinse it after every use, but lately it won't detect…

flexing abs during exercise
Is it recommended to flex your ab muscles during a work out like cruches, strength training, or core work? I don't keep my stomach flexed, but I let it just kind of hang out. I've heard various instructors say to keep your stomach in, does this mean keep it flexed?

Bad headaches on treadmill when heart rate goes up passed 15
As long as I keep my heart rate between 140 and 150, I'm ok. As soon as I speed it up or increase the incline and my heart rate goes over 150, I start to get really bad headaches and also a sharp pain in my left shoulder across the left side of my chest. What could this mean??? I'm not sweating at 140, but when I get going…

Artificial Sweeteners 10 Facts
1. Artificial sweeteners are 160-13000 times sweeter than sugar. 2. We use less of it because our bodies do not fully absorb them. 3. Low-cal sweeteners are slowly absorbed and can cause diarrhea and gas if consumed too often. 4. In 1977 saccharin was banned because it was found that it caused cancer in rats, but did not…

rotator cuff injury
Ok, last night I somehow injured my shoulder. I felt it before going to bed. I googled and figured it's an acute tear in my rotator cuff. My question is can I still run? I'm going to wait and see if it goes away in a few days. I'm icing it as I type. Tomorrow is a run day and I don't want to miss it.

Caloric Intake / Fitness
Hello, I've got a question for all you number crunchers out there in "MFP land". If with exercise (or without), I stay below the original guided caloric intake listed per day (mine is presently 1700), will that contribute to the weight loss goals, or does it mean I need at least that but no more in order to lose weight?…

Losing one pound a week.
I know that when you start an exercise program you lose more weight in the beginning and that gradually it starts becoming harder to lose extra pounds.
