I understand why you would want to have low-calories and fat, but what is so bad about going over on carbs and protein?

mfp nutrition question
You know how the food diary has columns of carbs, fat, protein, and calories and then it tells you how many you're supposed to eat in each given category? Am I suppose to eat that exact distribution of each? And if I don't then will I not lose weight? Thanks Aisha

Just noticed that I have had a protein filled day. Baked Haddock for supper really did it lol) What effect if any does going over your protein goal have on weightloss? Just curious cause I went 27grams over my daily goal lol :bigsmile:

Too much protein - is that bad?
I find that I go over my "allowance" of protein almost every day. While I'm not going over anything else, I thought there was no such thing as "too much protein". Is it bad to go over your protein allowance?

Has anybody tried the Special K diet? I would like to do something easy and I can't take another Lean Cuisine. I was thinking about trying it for 3-4 weeks just to get a jumpstart on a diet. I don't want my kids to see me eating cereal all day and thinking it's healthy. Little help?

I just had a great snack!
1 small banana 1 cup of light chocolate soy milk Ice Blend. Next time my DH wants to go out for ice cream after dinner I'm giving him this. He always wants chocolate banana shakes.

Vitamins & Supplements
Just was curious if/what everyone takes when it comes to vitamins? Do you just take a multi-vitamin or specific supplement? I was told to try Vitamin B6, that it helps boost your metabolism. Just was curious if this was true! Thanks!

I am so fed up with the darn things! :explode: My daily goal for my carbs is 114g. But if I want to eat all of my calories, I ALWAYS happen to go over my carb allowance.
