Jari love get ripped 1000
Just wondering if anyone needs a new workout tape to do at home. As a stay at home mom I find it easier to work out at home. Here is an awesome one. Jari Love get ripped 1000. You burn up to 1000 calories in one 55 min workout. It is tough but you will see results fast. Target.com has it.... Also the core and slim…

how long does it take before you see some results?
Hi, It's only been my second week and I am very eager to shed some fat around my waist and build more muscle. I am eating lots of fruits, veggies, protein shakes 3 times workout circuit training every other day and running 45-50 mins every other. Drink about 2-3 liters of water and no sodas. I've became more of calory…

Victorious Fitness Challenge -- May 22
Good Morning! Well this idea of "exercise cycling" has been tough for me, because I still want to eat the same amount of calories on the light days. Was way over my calories yesterday and I didn't work out at all. Today: ~ Power sculpt class at the gym with the crazy dude who has his own FitTV show. I'm wearing my HRM and…

Great workout today!
I had a great workout today! Despite the fact that it's "that time of the month", my heart rate was so low on the elliptical I hardly felt like I was working until the end. I actually felt like I was "in shape"! How awesome was that! I went for 50 minutes/600 calories. Did anyone else have a good work out today?

not made to run
Sadly, I really don't think my body is supposed to be used for running. From the first moment my feet hit the ground my knees and ankles start to ache. I never get to see how far I can actually go because my bones ache. By the time I've had as much as I can take (usually 3-4 miles on a regular day) I have to take medicine…

Planks
I did planks at the gym today - my trainer showed me, I was like "oh those look easy"...NOT. I even broke out in a sweat!!! I guess they are really good core exercises, phew hard though!:grumble:

Stability Ball
I have a question on how to log stability exercises. Do you burn any calories doing these sit ups, weights etc. Feels like it anyways. I notice there isn't anything when I type in stability ball. Any help would be appreciated.

Wii Fit
OMG!!!!!!! This thing is SOOOOOOOOOOO awesome!!! You have to get one! I have been on it for about 35 minutes now and have tried a bunch of different exercises. It is cool because it makes you master certain skills before unlocking a harder workout. For example, a run - it makes you go for only 3 minutes at a time until you…

No more tennis
I am so upset, I have been playing tennis for the last 15 years or so, but the last 6 summers I have taken lessons. I loved the coach, he taught me so much more than what I had learned in high school, and I got to be really good friends with some of the people. I was all excited about it again this summer and went to sign…

I don't know what got into me..
I ran for 50 min. straight today on the treadmill @ the gym at 5.5 mph. I know this isn't that big of a deal to some of you avid marathon runners out there, but I haven't been able to do this since my cheerleading days way back when haha. I was excited about it so I thought I would share! Who knows if this keeps up, I…

definity work out bar?
Are there any exercises I can do in the office while on break with this piece of equipment? Im already doing a pretty serious work out with bar bells and weights from 15-35 lbs and doing Butterflys, Curls and Push Ups. I was wondering if this piece of gear could open up a few more oppertunities for me and perhaps target…

My dog is the worst exercise partner
Today is beautiful!! I woke up early due to the fact that I needed to get my 130 pound great dane/bull mastiff out of the house so the maid could clean. Normally, I shut her in the computer room, but today I decided to take her for a walk. (The computer room really needed a good cleaning.) We walked a 3 mile track at a…

Fitness-Grand Canyon Style
We just got back from the Grand Canyon last night -- we camped by plane  What an awesome trip. Breathtakingly beautiful! The hikes were strenuous -- but I really felt like I accomplished something when we got back to the top. I only lost a pound last week -- but I didn't have access to track on MFP -- so I think…

I am such a loser lol
So, I was being a little cocky with myself. I decided to go for a bike ride today. The last time I rode a bike was years ago, when I was at a very inactive stage of my life, and it did not work out well. So now I work out everyday for a half hour to an hour, I thought I would be able to kick butt on the bike. I told my…

Exercise Schedule
My workouts are getting pretty tedious (ie: not much variety). I'm switching up cardio with strength training, but I find myself doing the same routine weekly. My options are a little limited (my lower back doesn't cooperate with some exercises). What is everybody doing for their workouts? Or does anybody know a good…

Gym Scales
 I try not to get on the scale very much. However I weigh in at the gym once in awhile. I lost six pound in three weeks(mainly because I was sick for one of those weeks). I weighed 140 after loosing those 6 pounds. I got this from my scale at home. So I weighed myself on the gym scale four days later and it said…

Question for the male weight lifters
Shooting this ? for the guys, lost about 40 pounds, down from 207 to 167. Noticed in the last three weeks I have gained 4 pounds back. I know certain things like water and muscle can increase your weight. I've greatly changed my workout routine from 600 cardio calories to 200, and 50 minutes of weights 5 times a week.…

45 to 200 BPM?
I've been keeping track of my heart rate and calorie expenditure with my Polar F6 for several weeks now. My resting rate was around 58-73 BPM and moderate exercise put me at about 125-140, and with higher intensity intervals a 3 minute sprint got my heart rate up to 184 at the highest. Now suddenly, starting this week my…

Good morning, After a long night of both my daughters waking up every half hour, I was not able to go out for a run this morning. :grumble: I'm going to take today off of exercising and go out tomorrow morning. It's so freaking cold here, I'm reading to jump off a bridge!! Hopefully you are all well rested and are…

Any swimmers out there
I started swimming again this week. It's the first time in over four years that I've gotten into the pool. Wow! I had forgotten what a great workout it is. I've been doing strength training, walking, the elliptical and yoga and thought I was in great shape but my first 1/2 mile kicked my butt! It really is a full body…

Victorious Fitness Challenge. . .May 21
Morning all! Yesterday I completed my Biggest Loser Cardio DVD (435 calories! in 45 minutes!) and a 60 minute walk. That Biggest Loser DVD continues to blow my mind due to its intensity. I love having it for when I can't get to a class at the gym. Today is my scheduled day off, but I'll probably get a walk in later w/ the…
