Post-Workout Recovery
How many carbs, protein and calories should I be consuming after a workout? Sometimes I will have an apple and peanut butter or a post workout recovery drink. I just want to make sure that I get the right amount of nutrients after a workout. Oh, I workout at night before bed if that makes a difference.

When to Exercise
Is there any evidence that the time you exercise makes a difference? I have tried all times and get WAY different results each time, not necessarily for the exercise but the way I feel afterward. Anyone know?

Shin splints
I've been wogging, (walking and jogging) for a few months now, and i've worked up to a five min run with a 1 min walk, sometimes a bit more. problem is, i've started getting shin splints a bit. i'm icing now, after my run, and did some ibuprophen. I took a week off, but they were still sore afterwards. Any suggestions?

Do you subtract....
your BMR cals from exercise cals when logging? Example: My BMR is 1,573--so for 48 minutes of exercise I had to subtract 52 cals, which leaves me with (about) 351 calories burned. Should I be logging this way or am I making it more hard than it needs to be?

swimming - just how good is it?
is swimming more for toning or is it good cardio too? is it a good exercise to lose weight or should i lose weight doing straight cardio and then go to swimming to get the toning?

Does running more make you want to eat more?
:laugh: I've been slowly increasing my running distances and I swear I feel like I am hungry all the time. My weight is flip flopping back and forth a few lbs and I've been eating every 3 hours but recently it seems like I am always hungry and I don't want to put on extra pounds.

Bad wheel
Well okay, not a wheel, but a knee. My knee is making some horrid noises and hurts every now and then. (I'll be contacting the doctor about it again) I mainly walk for all of my exercise. I can't do lunges with that leg or squats...stairs are even difficult. So what else can I do that can avoid that right knee?
